The school trip is here and it’s been decided that we are going camping in the mountains. So, the next monday will be our school trip. We’ll be in the mountains for a week. Wow! Can’t wait! And it’s great that Sher and I can enjoy it together. Today’s Sunday and tomorrow will be our big day. I’m counting hours for tomorrow, i wonder if i’ll even be able to sleep tonight.. I’ve done my packing 2 days ago and everything’s ready for tomorrow… Hmmm… Well, what should i do now? I could go to Sher’s place since it’s so ear to my home, but she said that her relatives are visiting her today, so i don’t wanna bother them.. Ah! Maybe i should take a walk. That might make me calm down from all the excitement tomorrow. I put on a dark blue jeans, a red shirt, a grey jersey and grey shoes. So ow i’m all prepared up, and uh…. where should i go? Ah! I’ll go to the beach side, my favourite place from the whole world. That’s the only place which gives me a great feeling. Whenever i’m sad, excited or happy, i go to the beach and tell it to the sea, evn though i know no one can hear me, after telling it to the sea, i always feel GREAT!!! hehe  While i was walking , there was Dev sitting on a bench near the sea. What’s he doing there? Maybe i should go talk to him. “Hey Dev!” I said in a loud voice, cus’ he was kinda spacing out. “Oh! Hey Alina! What are you doing here?” He asked. “Shouldn’t i be the one asking you the same question, Dev? Oh well, i’m here for a walk, wanna come along?” I asked. “Sure! Why not? Well, i was bored at home and that’s why i’m here and where should we go?” He said. “Well, i was planning on taking a walk near the beach.” I said. “Great idea!” He said as he started to walking. “Why are you here outside now? I mean, shouldn’t you be packing right now?” He asked after a while. “Well, i was too excited that i packed 2 days ago and checked everything 4 times a day.” I said with a laugh. “Haha, same here. This is my first time going for camping in the mountains, so i too packed everything 2 days ago. What about you? You’ve been in caping before?” He asked. “Same here, Dude! Never been in camping before. First time for everything!” I said with a laugh. “Dude!?” He said looking puzzled and then we laughed. “Hey, why did you dump Sher when she confessed to you?” I asked Dev all out of the blue, now why the heck am i asking him this!?!? “So you heard about it?” He said while looking away. “Yeah, well, Remember, you once told me that you would go out with any girl whose good. Then,is she not good or kind?” i asked. “She is good ad kind too. Has a good personality and helps everyone and is always smiling butby the time she confessed to me, i had already fallen for another girl…” He said looking far into the sea… “I see..” I said cus’ i didn’t know whatelse to say. We didn’t talk much after that for awhile after that we watched the sunset then he dropped me home. Wow, what a walk and an “unexpected talk” too! hehe, Well then, better go to bed early so that i can wake up tomorrow early. Awww! I’m so excited for tomorrow!

Chapter 04

Sher’s back in school ad Dev is joining us for lunch everyday just like he said earlier. “Dev, don’t you have any friends?” I asked while eating lunch oneday. He looked me in the eye and gave me a “huh” look and said “Well, I do have a lot of friends but i would like to spend my time with you guys. Could it be that you dislike me being here?” “No, no way, It’s not like that! I like it when you’re here. It’s great! I was just curious, that’s why i asked something like that.” i quickly replied to clear the misunderstanding. We had so much fun, but for some reason Sher didn’t talk much with Dev and looked upset whenever he’s around. “I’m going to the washroom for a minute.” dev said as he stood up to go. “Ah, okay. Later, then” I said as he left. Sher didn’t say anything, she just looked away. “Sher, don’t you like Dev?” I asked her. “Huh? What do you mean, Alina?” She asked. “Just because… whenever he’s around, you look upset so i was wondering if you didn’t like him.” I said. “Well… actually… I… uh… Remember the day we met eachother?” She asked, What’s she trying to say? “Um… ofcourse, I remember that day, Sher, Why?” I asked. “The guy who dumped me that day… it was… Dev!” she said. “Huh? What did you just say? Really? Oh, I’m so sorry, Sher. Tagging him along for lunch like this might’ve probably hurt you, right?” I said. I felt sorry for her, that i almost felt like crying. “It’s alright, Alina! It was just a small crush. I’m over with him now. Besides, there must be someone just for me out there, all i have to do is to wait patiently for that somebody to appear right infront of me.” She said in a fired-up tone. “Uh… um…yea, i guess you’re right!” I said ‘cus i was a bit speechless at the moment. “Oh, Dev’s back!” said Sher suddenly. “Oh, hey… um… Dev?” I asked. “Yeah, what is it?”he asked. “I was wondering, do you have someone you like?” I asked him. Geez! Why am i asking such stupid questions from him? Can’t help it, I get curious over a small thing easily. “Uh, well… There is someone i like, but i haven’t told her yet!” He said while blushing. He was all red, that it was as if he’s going to burst.. That looked funny. “Oh, okay!” I said, trying to hide laughing. Suddenly Sher bursted out laughing and after that i too laughed loudly. Dev was a bit angry so he turned away, that too was funny. We kept laughing and laughing and in the end Dev too laughed. Seriously, that wasn’t a big deal to laugh but it was fun. Ah, being with friends is the best! And by the way, today we talked about crushes and stuff from the topic “Love” right? hmmm…. Nah, it isn’t my type, in other words, not much intrested.. But, i guess it almos might be a new adventure, but…… nah, don’t wanna get involved those stuff, i guess i’m going to stay single for another year or two i guess… Hahaha

Chapter 03

Life was the same as everyday. Today, right after the maths lesson’s over, i’ll be going to meet Sher. There goes the bell, i took my lunch from my bag and went to Sher’s class. Hmmm, this is strange, i couldn’t see her at her seat, is she absent? No way, she was doing well yesterday, Did something happen to her? “You are the one who always comes to see Sher, aren’t you?” I heard a voice from above my head, i looked up. A tall, young and a handsome guy. i replied, “y-y-yes! Why do you ask? May i know where Sher is?” He smiled and said, “I’m Dev, nice to meet you. Today, Sher’s sick so she’s absent, so i don’t think she’ll be able to have lunch with you today.” “Oh, is that so?” I asked and looked down at my feet. Then i felt someone pat on my head, i looked up, it was Dev! He laughed ad said “Sher has caught a small cold, nothing serious, Don’t worry! If you want, i can be Sher’s replacement and eat lunch with you!” he winked and went a few steps ahead. I couldn’t say aything, I haven’t met him earlier, I don’t know him, Is it okay for me to eat lunch with him? Questions kept overflowing in my head and no answers. “Umm, Shall we go, miss Alina?” he asked with a smile, “Miss Alina?” I asked with a confused look. He laughed and started walking. I didn’t know why but i followed him. We arrived to mine and Sher’s corner. “How do you know this place?” I asked. “I saw you coming here with Sher one day, that’s how!” he said looking at the sky. I didn’t say anything cus i didnt know what to say. We talked, laughed, ate,  It was like being with Sher. Dev had dark eyes and dark hair. He was a nice guy, I guess, he might be quite popular at school. There were some commons between us, like our favourite books, songs, authors and much more. It was fun talking to him, time passed without knowing. “There goes the bell, awww i wish we could stay a bit longer!” i said as i stood up to leave. “Wait!” he suddenly said. “Huh? Is something there?” I asked. “Well, would you mind if i join you and Sher to eat lunch together again?” He asked. I laughed and said, “Sure, why not. After all we’re friends!” “Friends? I guess i’ll have to wait…” Dev replied in a sad and a silent tone. “Wait for what, Dev?” i asked. “Nothing, let’s go back, if not we’ll be late” He replied with a smile. We went back to our classes. Wow! A new friend! I wonder what Dev mean’t by “have to wait”, even though he said nothing, i feel like he’s worried about something. Oh well, as long as he’s okay, i’ve got no problem with it. I wonder how Sher’s doing right now!

Chapter 02

Today’s my first day at my high school. I wore my favourite frock and my favourite shoes. I dislike hairstyles, so i let my hair down and brushed it cleanly. My look was a bit messed up but dad said i was pretty. He’s the best! He works at a newspaper company so both of us have to wake up early to get ready. I cook luch before I leave home, because dad comes home earlier than meand doesn’t know to cook. Mum taught me to cook when i was young. After everything’s done, I stepped out of the house with a big sigh and started my way to the highschool. It was a big one with may buildings. Wow! It’s great! I wanna have the best time of my life here… The inside was cool too. The lessons were easy to uderstand and well, i got along with the others in class too. I guess i can fit in … Woah! This isn’t harder than i thought…  At lunch break, i thought i might have a little stroll around, so that i kow where i am atleast! Not long after i started my roaming around, i saw a girl crying in a corner of  the school grounds. She was under a huge tree, kneeled down, crying… I walked towards her and asked her the reason she was crying. She said that she was dumped by her first love. I felt sorry for her, even though i’m not really used this love things though! I tried comforting  her and encouraging her. Her name was Sher and after she calmed down we talked almost about everything. Likes, Dislikes, Families, Friends, Favourites ad lot more. It was fun. In no time, we became good friends and almost Best Friends. But for our misfortune, Sher’s in the opposite class of mine, And from that day everyday at lunch break i would go to Sher’s class and take her with me to the place we first met to eat lunch. We almost did everything together after that. It was so much fun. My high school life began just like that, I wonder if i’ll make more friends. I wonder if i’d get a chance to be the class president. I wonder what awaits me…

Chapter 01

“Papa, why is mama always fighting with you?” I used to ask my dad when I was small, ’cause my parents always fought, they always had a reason, I can’t really say “them”, ‘cus it was mum who started all the fights. I wondered if mom didn’t like my dad, if so, then why did they get married? Whenever i ask my dad why they fight so much, he would smile and say that i’m too little to understand. One day mom came home after work as usal when i was 5 years old, she said that she had enough of my dad so that she had found someone who will make her happy. I didn’t understand what she said at that time, but i was a bit confused at her words. She said she was leaving, and then she packed up her clothes and she left, closing the door behind her. I felt like crying and yell her name, but tears didn’t come out, i couldn’t move, i couldn’t talk… Deep inside me, i felt someone stabbing my heart, so much pain, but at the same time, it all disappeared, once i start thinking about her last words… I felt like she never wanted me, am i unwanted? Am i useless? After a few hours, dad came home. I told him what happened, he cried for the first time. Why? Why couldn’t i cry like him? am i happy that she left? No, it’s not that… All i could do was comfort my dad and help him in the housework…

 

Without knowing 10 years have passed after that incident. I just finished middle school and i’m gonna begin high school soon. My name’s Alina, just a normal who like’s to spend her time helping others.. Dad and I bought an apartment near my high school and the place he works. My high school’s a bit special. It has special lessons about scienze and the “Universe” everyday after school, but only to the students who intrested. That’s why i chose this school out of all the other high schools. I’m intrested in the Universe and stars, and dad gave me my freedom to do anything about my studies and my future. I wanna be a proud daughter to dad, so i’m gonna do my best in my studies.. Dad’s a kind person, he has always been nice to me , but mom was different, she gets mad at everything, but she was a beautiful woman, many people say i kinda look like her. Ever since she left us, we never heard a word of her. Dad says she might’ve moved to another country. Even though, dad doesn’t show it, i feel like he still miss her. Not to metion he still has her photo in his purse and in his phone, i guess he must have loved her a lot. Thinking of it, i too wanna see her again and have a little chat with her. Maybe someday, if it’s possible, we might meet again, right, mom?

Just Another Kite…

Just like a kite,
I keep flying and flying…
Without motive.
Without reason.
Just being a toy and flying…
The wind blows calmly
And i keep flying higher and higher
When the wind blows down
I fall to the ground as well…
It took hours for me to fly so high
But it only took a second
For me to fall down,
After all,
I’m just another kite…

The day which changed me,,,

I remember that day
1st of march and i came here,
Even before a week passes,
I saw things which caused me to cry,
I heard things which caused me to regret,
I spent everyday in bed crying…
Everyone said i’m a useless child,
But i was okay with it,

A year and five days ago,
I stepped into the life i had never known,
To a life which never suited me,
To a life i regret the most…
When i was small,
While all my friends were laughing,
I was in a silent room, taking care of my broken dolls…
Money was all which was given to me by him
No matter how much i asked for one thing,
He never gave it to me.
A year ago, I understood, who he really was,
What i really was to him…
I was just another helpless child to him…
